Ikebana
Student of the Ohara School, studying under Sensei and Master Teacher Carolyn Alter. Previous Student of Ikenobo School. Ikebana is a 600 year old floral arrangement practice that started in Japan. Unlike western arrangements, Ikebana embraces minimalism and precise craft, from selecting in season flowers and carefully positioning the forms in precise measurements and cuts. To become certified in Ikebana takes dedication and focus, and once you are, the studying has just begun.
